    Colleagues,
Early Bird registration ends this Friday, April 10th, for the 2026 Industry Studies Association (ISA) annual conference, to be held at The George Washington University in the heart of Washington, DC.
The ISA is an offshoot of the famous and impactful Sloan Foundation Industry Studies. The ISA exists to promote research that deeply dives into a single industry, and/or has direct relevance to public policy. The conference is multi-disciplinary, including presenters and attendees from public policy think tanks and with direct public policymaking experience.
This year, we will take advantage of our DC location with a Wednesday morning (optional, small extra fee) session with several entities that directly influence public policy, including CSIS, CSPO, McKinsey Global Institute, The Mitre Corporation, the Niskanen Center, and SCSP; a great opportunity to learn how research finds its way to policymakers.
During our regular conference, we will have dozens of interesting research papers, and several panels, including a panel on the forthcoming book Priority Technologies, including the author and long-term ISA member, former special assistant to the president Elisabeth Reynolds. There will also be panels related to pharmaceuticals, energy, AI, automotive, defense, government procurement, nonprofits, federal statistics, and the future of the Manufacturing USA program.
Please register by Friday to secure the early bird rate!
    Best,
    John
