2025 Program Chair Message

Greetings OSCM community!

The OSCM division invites scholarly papers and symposia submissions addressing any aspect of operations and supply chain management for the 2025 Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark. We welcome submissions that consider the management of processes that create and deliver products and services. Research may focus on profit or non-profit organizations. Conceptual, empirical, and methodological contributions are encouraged, as are cross-functional linkages and perspectives.

Given that the location of the 2025 Academy of Management conference is Copenhagen, the OSCM division especially encourages papers and symposia focused on the international aspects of our domain. Our re-search and teaching endeavors have long considered international and multicultural dimensions that heavily influence operations and supply chain management. The past years, with increased globalization, covid-19, the Suez channel disruption, climate change, and geopolitical tensions, these topics have shown to be more important than ever, now and in the future. This includes, among others, topics like international supplier net-works, an increasingly cross-culturally diverse frontline, agile adjustments to external shocks, and innovative collaborations, but also operations’ and supply chains’ impact on our planet’s health as well as unbalanced international supplier relationships.

The 2025 conference thus provides an excellent opportunity to showcase associated scholarly work and teaching initiatives. We invite you to explore the international component further and take advantage of excit-ing opportunities it presents for our division. Symposia proposals are particularly encouraged as they provide conference attendees a coherent, focused session of either a series of authored papers explicitly linked to a common theme, or a group of panelists engaged in a formal interactive discussion around particular issues or questions. The OSCM division also encourages submissions from PhD students.

All submissions must be made through the AOM Submission Center website. The submission deadline is Tuesday, 7 January  2025 at 17:00 ET (GMT-5/UTC-5).
