Stephanie Eckerd, University of Tennessee
"The Executive Board of the Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) Division would like to recognize Stephanie Eckerd for her long lasting and outstanding leadership of our Division at the Academy of Management. Stephanie has made contributions to the AOM-OSCM Division in several ways over the last seven years. Stephanie first served as co-host of our Junior Faculty and Doctoral Consortium in 20017 and 2018. She then became a permanent executive committee member serving in various roles as PDW Chair, Program Chair, Sponsoring and Division Chair until she has concluded her tenure this year as Past Division Chair. During that time, she helped shifting an entire program from in-person to a virtual conference format during the pandemic. After running the hybrid format, she was also very closely involved in implementing our global ambassador structure and a more formalized governance as the outcome of our strategic review and membership survey. With her charming personality and open attitude towards change, she was a true trailblazer in expanding our divisions global outreach and ongoing opportunities for virtual interaction in between annual conferences, which was instrumental creating a more permanent and continuous benefits for our members. Thanks to her service we are a better, more global, and diverse division today. On behalf of the entire team, I want to thank Stephanie for her leadership and lasting contributions. Personally, it was a privilege and honor working with you and learning from you as your successor in various roles. We are all looking forward welcoming in Copenhagen next year as a “regular” attendee, where we will do our very best to continue the to build on the great legacy you left us."
