23rd Cambridge International Manufacturing Symposium
Shaping the future of global manufacturing supply networks:
Delivering sustainable value for producers and consumers through digital platforms
26 and 27 September 2019, Cambridge
Submit your abstract by Monday 10 June
The annual Cambridge International Manufacturing Symposium is a unique event that brings together senior industrialists and leading academics to share approaches and experiences in this strategic domain.
The second day of the Symposium will comprise a mixture of keynote academic presentations and research papers in several parallel interest streams. The scope for papers is broad, building on recent issues in the management of international manufacturing and supply networks, and the areas of interest identified in previous Symposia. Selected themes are listed below, but submissions are encouraged in any discipline or subject area related to the Symposium topic.
Supply chain transformation enabled by advanced technologies and digital platforms
Digital supply chain design, analysis and operation
Sustainability, circular economy and industrial ecosystems
E-commerce, last-mile logistics and the sharing economy
Resilience and risk management in supply networks
Reshoring and Distributed Manufacturing: implications for global manufacturing footprints
IMPORTANT DEADLINES
Monday 10 June:
submission of abstracts (1000 words)
Thursday 20 June:
notification of abstract acceptance
Tuesday 20 August
: full paper final submission for accepted abstracts
NB Acceptance is conditional on at least one author booking to attend the Symposium by Friday 23 August 2019.
