Dear OSCM Members,
The OSCM Executive Board members and I are excited to see you all at the AOM Annual Conference, to be held in a hybrid experience this year in Seattle. We are all very glad to able to personally meet while also allowing virtual participation for most our session. We have organized an exciting and intellectually stimulating conference schedule. All of your favorite sessions will be back, along with a few new ones:
- The Joint Doctoral Student & Junior Faculty Consortium,
- Four Professional Development Workshops,
- Three Best Paper Award Sessions,
- Award and information sessions hosted by two of the premier journals in our field – JOM and JSCM,
- A journal editor’s panel featuring editors from five of our field’s leading journals,
- A plenary panel discussion featuring an Academic-Practitioner partnership,
- Several socials,
- The OSCM morning run is back
- And much more!
The AOM Program Team learned a lot from last year’s virtual conference, and this year we are able to host significantly more sessions in a hybrid live format – including all of the OSCM Division’s sessions! While we did our best to schedule sessions at a time that was convenient to our presenters, we know there will be time zone challenges once again.
Finally, a sincere thank you to all of our volunteers and contributors who make this conference such a successful event. We had 164 people devote their time as reviewers of the 84 paper submissions that our division received. As always, acceptance decisions are competitive at AOM, but we were able to accept 65% of the submissions this year. Again, thank you for turning out in another virtual conference year!
