    Hello Everyone,

    The Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford is recruiting two faculty positions in Major Programmes and Operations Management! The first is an Associate Professor position in Major Programme Management (Expression of Interest attached), and the second is a Senior Research Fellowship position in Operations Management (Job Description attached). Both are tenure-track positions. In exceptional cases, where the candidate has previously established an academic standing at an appropriate level of distinction, the title of full professor may be awarded at the time of appointment. Salary for these positions are internationally competitive and commensurate with qualifications.

    The position will be within Technology, Operations, and Major Programmes area of the School, a lively and international community including scholars such as Daniel Armanios, Marya Besharov, Kate Blackmon, Alex Budzier, Paul Chapman, Richard Cuthbertson, Owen Darbishire, Sue Dopson, Michael Gill, Matthias Holweg, Sally Maitlis, Harvey Maylor, Chris Moos, Eleanor Murray, Steve New, Agni Orfanoudaki, Michael Smets, Marc Thompson, Jonathan Trevor, Eero Vaara, and Andrew White. The group has a diverse research agenda but has particular strengths in lean manufacturing, machine learning & AI, supply chain, retail, major programmes, and practices and institutions. The group also works closely with other areas within the School, for instance Finance and Strategy.

    The School welcomes applications from established and early career colleagues in Major Programmes and Operations Management who are committed to a programme of intellectually rigorous and relevant research that is publishable in top academic journals. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the School's graduate and executive programmes (in particular the MBA and Executive MBA), as well as our world-renowned MSc Programme in Major Programme Management.

    Applicants must hold a doctorate in management studies, operations management, major programme management, engineering, or a closely related discipline. Commensurate with career stage, candidates must also demonstrate a track record, or pipeline, of publications in top-ranked peer-reviewed academic journals and competitively award research grants that demonstrate potential to impact business and management practice. The successful applicant must demonstrate commitment to teaching and ability to enthuse, educate and inspire high-achieving graduate students from all backgrounds and to help them reach their full potential. They must also demonstrate ability and willingness to work effectively as part of a team and to contribute fully to the work of the School. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary for undertaking teaching and the pastoral care of students and demonstrate ability and willingness to undertake a range of administrative duties within the School.
