Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business, Department of Supply Chain Management, has an opening for a fixed-term instructor or non-tenure track assistant professor with expertise in logistics to start in the 2022-2023 academic year. While the initial contract will be for one-year, multi-year contracts will be considered at the time of renewal. Duties include teaching and service. Salary and terms are negotiable depending on experience and rank. The position requires a minimum of a master's degree from an accredited university for instructor rank and a PhD for assistant professor rank.
Candidates should have a strong interest and background in logistics The successful candidate will be expected to teach logistics courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and to interface with the logistics practitioner community. An ideal candidate will have prior experience in logistics courses and demonstrated ability to work with logistics executives. Interest in transportation management is highly desirable.
