    Virtual Symposium on Digital Globalization

    Friday, Feb 25th, 2022, 9am ET

Co-hosted by: Weatherhead School of Management & Miami Herbert Business School

Sponsored by: MIT Sloan Management Review

    Dear colleagues:

We invite you to a Virtual Symposium on Digital Globalization to be held via Zoom on Feb 25th 2022, 9am ET. The symposium will focus on the issues, opportunities, and operational challenges that multinational companies face with respect to digital globalization and the rising geopolitical tension and nationalism evident in different parts of the world. The symposium will also mark the launch of our new book, The Digital Multinational: Navigating the New Normal in Global Business (MIT Press). Registration is free for all attendees.

The symposium will feature speakers from both academia and industry. From the academia, the speakers include Anil Gupta, Alain Verbeke, Jagdish Sheth, George Westerman and Klaus Meyer. The industry speakers include CTOs/CDOs from multinationals such as Bayer, Etsy, Microsoft, Kimberly Clark and Nomura. We believe the joint industry-academia dialog will help outline an interdisciplinary agenda for future research on digital globalization that relates to scholars interested in digital strategy, global operations, MNE internationalization, innovation, platforms and ecosystems, international entrepreneurship, and international marketing. For more details and to register, please visit:

We look forward to seeing you at the symposium.
