The Industry Studies Association is hosting its first non-U.S. conference, at Oxford University, September 3-5, 2026. Benn Lawson is the conference chair, and is putting together a wonderful program, including a reception at the Rhodes House and a dinner at Balliol College... a Harry Potter-esque experience!
The association exists to promote research that deeply dives into a single and/or has a direct influence on public policy. It is an offshoot of the Sloan Foundation Studies, that produced, among many other things, the highly influential book, The Machine that Changed the World, on the auto industry. Other groups produced influential work in semiconductors, banking, and more.
The submission deadline--ABSTRACT ONLY--is this Friday. If you think your work relates, and can join us, please submit: Call for Papers: 2026 Oxford, UK Conference
