Call for Applications: Regional Ambassadors
Overview
The OSCM division invites applications for its Regional Ambassadors Initiative, a strategic effort to build a more globally connected and regionally engaged OSCM community. Regional Ambassadors are academics based in a specific geographic region who serve as local champions and connectors for the OSCM Division, promoting its activities and strengthening links within their regional research communities. We are seeking to appoint 4 Regional Ambassadors, one representing each of the following regions: Australia, Middle East and Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
Role Summary
Each Regional Ambassador will:
- Serve a three-year term
- Organize one annual regional webinar introducing the OSCM Division and a topic of regional relevance (e.g., supply chain resilience, sustainability, digital operations, humanitarian logistics)
- Collaborate with one other region during their term to co-organize a webinar
- Provide post-webinars feedback collected from participants
- Act as a key contact point for scholars in their region
Eligibility Criteria
- Be active academics in Operations and Supply Chain Management
- Demonstrate engagement with the AoM OSCM division
- Have strong professional networks within their region
- Show commitment to academic service and community building
Scholars at different career stages are encouraged to apply. The selection committee values diversity in institutions, methodologies, and scholarly perspectives.
Application Process
Applications should include:
- A short statement of interest including the region you'd like to represent and a description of regional engagement and networks and preliminary ideas for webinars and collaborations (max. 250 words)
- Short CV (max. 3 pages)
