Weber State University Faculty Position in Supply Chain Management
The John B. Goddard School of Business and Economics at Weber State University is hiring for a 9-month, tenure-track position in Supply Chain Management at the assistant professor rank (appointments at the rank of associate or full professor may be possible pending budgetary approvals), with an employment starting date of July 1, 2018. Depending on qualifications and applicant aspirations, teaching responsibilities may be at the undergraduate and MBA levels.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to teach and research in supply chain management, with specialization in at least some of the following areas:
- data analytics
- spreadsheet modeling
- supply chain information technologies
- ERP/planning and control systems
- logistics management
- omni-channel logistics
- transportation
- purchasing and supply management
- contract management
- lean/quality/process management
- manufacturing/service operations management
- project management
- supply chain strategy
- supply chain risk management
- sustainability
- aerospace industry
The successful candidate will be willing to 1) strengthen the SCM program's commitment to experiential learning and 2) work with the Jerry and Vickie Moyes Center for Supply Chain Excellence to develop strong ties with the regional business community.
The Goddard School offers a financial incentive program for research. A 3/3 teaching load is standard for academically qualified faculty. Study abroad and other teaching responsibilities may count as part of the teaching load.

Completed doctorate in Supply Chain Management, or a closely related discipline, is required for a full-time, tenure-track position (ABD candidates who are close to completion also may be considered at the Instructor level).
