Instructor/Assistant Professor of Management
Frostburg State University, College of Business, seeks applications for a
full-time, tenure-track Instructor/Assistant Professor of Operations
Management for its Department of Management. This position is available to
begin Spring 2014 or Fall 2014. Salary is competitive and commensurate with
experience and includes USM benefits package.
Responsibilities: Teach graduate Management Decision and Analysis and
undergraduate Operations Management, Quality Management, and/or other
management courses both face-to-face and online with appropriate research
productivity.
Frostburg State University’s College of Business is AACSB accredited and
values teaching, scholarly contribution, and service. The College of
Business has a growing reputation for addressing the rapidly changing
landscape of business through global experiential learning. While the
College’s primary focus is teaching, maintenance of academic qualifications
includes productivity in the area of Intellectual Contribution. Service
activities to the College including student advising are expected.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants should have excellent communication
skills and be able to demonstrate teaching excellence. ABD candidates with
a firm completion date will be considered for appointment at the rank of
Instructor. Previous teaching experience and evidence of scholarly work
required.
Preferred Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Operations Management,
Decision Sciences, or a closely related management discipline for
appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. Candidates should show
evidence of teaching in the Operations/Decision Sciences field and have
familiarity with statistical analysis. Industry experience is a plus
