Dear Colleagues,
**Apologies for cross-posting**
For the first time in 50 year, the Eastern Academy of Management (EAM) will have an
Operations Management track at its 2013 meeting in Baltimore. As track chair, I am
pleased to invite you to submit your paper in all areas of Operations Management. You
may also support the conference by volunteering to review papers. Please feel free to
contact me if you have any questions.
This year?s conference theme, ?Creativity and Innovation: Designs for the Future,? focuses
on the need for organizations to respond in new and different ways to dynamic market
forces. Amidst rapidly changing technology and a culture that craves exciting products
and services, organizations are compelled to innovate to remain competitive. Our
conference theme explores best practices in innovation and creativity among managers
and educators. We welcome submissions that address the conference theme or traditional
management topics.
We are also delighted to celebrate the 50th annual EAM meeting. We will feature special
sessions and events to commemorate 50 years of scholarship and collegiality. In addition
to considering our primary conference theme, we also invite you to consider this milestone
in EAM history as you prepare your submissions.

together we can create another outstanding conference.
