    Assistant Professor – Operations/ Production Management

    The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) College of Business
    invites applications for a tenure-track position in Management
    (concentration in production/operations) for Fall, 2013.

    UALR is a metropolitan university located in Little Rock, the capital and
    the governmental and financial center of the State. The city enjoys a
    moderate climate, a moderate size population, a diverse terrain, and a
    myriad of cultural and sports activities. The College of Business is
    located in the state-of-the-art Donald W. Reynolds Business Center for
    Business and Economic Development. The College of Business offers
    undergraduate majors and minors in a full range of business disciplines,
    as well as the M.S. in Management Information Systems, MBA, and Graduate
    Certificates in Management Information Systems and Management.

    Expectations/Responsibilities include excellence in teaching day, evening,
    and web-based classes, advising a diverse population of working adults and
    traditional undergraduate and graduate students, active involvement in
    scholarship and research, involvement in various service activities, and
    participation in professional organizations within the discipline.
    Teaching requirements include undergraduate/graduate courses in operations
    management and supply chain management, and related areas. Ability to
    teach classes in supporting/related Management areas is preferred.

    The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate (1) the ability to
    provide instructional excellence in undergraduate/graduate courses in
    areas of specialization, (2) a planned research agenda consistent with
    expectations of an AACSB-accredited program, (3) interest in participating
    in student-centered service activities, and (4) commitment to diversity
    and university initiatives supportive of diversity. Corporate/business
    work experience desirable.

    Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or D.B.A. with business course work and an
    emphasis in Operations Management required. The candidate should have the
    terminal degree in hand or have completed all requirements for the
    terminal degree by May, 2014. ABD’s may be considered. Official
