Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Operations/Supply Chain Management with appointment to begin August 2016.

The faculty is not departmentalized and values high-quality teaching and research that cross sectorial and disciplinary boundaries. Strong faculty governance ensures faculty voice and ownership in determining the quality and direction of the school and its programs. Major faculty responsibilities include teaching four courses per year, publishing in premier management journals, and completing service activities to enhance the school, the university, and the profession.
The Atkinson School offers the MBA degree in two formats: a full-time program and an evening MBA program for working professionals. The school also offers executive development programs throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Position Requirements: The successful candidate will have a completed doctorate, coupled with strong records of accomplishment in teaching and scholarship, ability and motivation to pursue scholarly work both independently and collaboratively, and demonstrated ability to develop and deliver MBA and executive development courses. New and recent PhD candidates are also encouraged to apply, especially those who can demonstrate exceptional potential for outstanding teaching and publication in quality journals. ABDs will be considered provided Ph.D. is completed by the time position starts in August 2016.
The ideal candidate will also possess sufficient background in information systems to teach required MBA courses in Operations and Systems/Information Management. The rank for the position is open. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience, teaching and research record.
This position is eligible for the University’s generous benefits package that includes: medical/dental insurance, retirement contribution of 10% of gross base pay from the University in exchange for a mandatory contribution of 1% by the employee, tuition remission, and moving expense reimbursement.
