    CALL FOR PAPERS

With pervasive exploitation of Internet technology and rapid advancement of mobile network, the Internet of Things (IoT) has emerged as one innovative and promising approach to gear products to platforms for accessibility, connectedness, interaction, and integration. The IoT has revolutionized the ways to manage supply chain networks (SCNs), e.g., design, souring, production, warehousing, and retailing, with full coordination between information flows and product flows. It also makes the connections to all stakeholders (e.g. designers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers and consumers) and transforms the value chain in various industries (e.g., logistics, semi-conductor manufacturing, healthcare, and food processing).

The application of IoT in supply chain is still nascent. The impact of IoT deployment on SCNs is profound. The adoption of IoT also comes with considerable risks and new challenges. This special issue solicits high-quality original research papers which focus on the integration of IoT and SCNs. We encourage submissions on theoretical, practical, as well as experimental studies, from both academia and industry.

    Topics:

All topics related to IoT and SCNs are welcome, including but not limited to the following categories:

    *  Business cases for determining the ROI of IoT analytics

    *  Design for supply chain by taking into account IoT

    *  Impact of IoT adoption on supply chain visibility and integration

    *  Opportunities and risks of IoT adoption in logistics management

    *  Security, privacy, and confidentiality issues of IoT deployment in supply chains

    *  Smart supply chain with IoT

    *  Transformation of information flow and product flow by IoT enabled supply chain management

    IMPORTANT DATES:

The submission should follow the schedule below:

    *  Submit full paper to I&M review system: March 1, 2016

    *  Complete first-round review process: June 1, 2016

    *  Submit revised paper for review process: September 1, 2016

    *  Complete review process for special issue: November 1, 2016

    *  Submit final package to I&M Editorial Office: December 1, 2016

    SUBMISSION Guidelines:

This special issue is open to all scholars but the submission content must be closely related to the theme of the issue. Submitted papers must make a significant and novel contribution to theory, or practice to the area. Interdisciplinary collaboration and new methodologies are welcome. Interested authors should submit electronic manuscript via ICEB official journal website (available in late December) and select the "I&M special issue for IoT & SCNs" to submit. For questions regarding the special issue and article submissions please contact any of the guest editors by e-mail.
