    Dear OM list,

Please post the following announcement to the OM listserv. Thank you.

Joel West, Professor, Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences, The Claremont Colleges, Claremont, CA 91711

    Operations Management Faculty (Rank Open)

The Keck Graduate Institute is seeking qualified faculty with research and teaching experience at the intersection of business and technology. The candidate will teach the core operations management class and electives such as healthcareoperations, supply chain management or manufacturing.

Candidates should have both MBA-level teaching experience and knowledge of technology-based industries; experience with pharmaceutical, healthcare or life science industries is desirable. The ideal candidate will have a passion for understanding and explaining how business influences the success of technology-based firms and industries, and preparing students for careers in these industries.

The teaching load for research-active faculty is equivalent to four semester courses peryear, with commensurate expectations of publication and research funding. We are also interested in non-research faculty, who would be appointed as a professor of practice with greater teaching or service responsibilities. Wewill consider candidates at any level, but research-active faculty should have a terminal degree prior to appointment.

Applicants should submit a cover letter describing professional and academic experience and expertise, a curriculum vita, and list of three professional references to bus-prof-app@kgi.edu. Applications will be reviewed starting October 1, 2015, for fall campus visits and summer 2016 appointment. For questions regarding the opening, please contact Professor Joel West (Joel_West@kgi.edu).

The Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences is a unique professional college created specifically to prepare students for careers in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and other life science industries. One of the seven Claremont Colleges in suburban Los Angeles, it was founded in 1997 to conduct translational and interdisciplinary research andteaching that enriches society. With funding from the Keck Foundation and the Sloan Foundation, its Master of Bioscience (MBS) program helped launch the Professional Science Master's movement and remains the benchmark for other PSM degrees today.
