    The Oxford Saïd Business School and Jesus College (University of Oxford) are recruiting an Associate Professor in Major Programme Management. This is a tenure-track position. In exceptional cases, where the candidate has previously established an academic standing at an appropriate level of distinction, the title of full professor may be awarded at the time of appointment. Salary for these positions are internationally competitive and commensurate with qualifications.

    The position will be within Technology and Operations Management, and Organisation Studies (TOPOS) area of the School, a lively and international community including scholars such as Daniel Erian Armanios, Marya Besharov, Kate Blackmon, Alex Budzier, Paul Chapman, Richard Cuthbertson, Owen Darbishire, Sue Dopson, Michael Gill, Matthias Holweg, Sally Maitlis, Harvey Maylor, Chris Moos, Eleanor Murray, Steve New, Agni Orfanoudaki, Michael Smets, Marc Thompson, Jonathan Trevor, Eero Vaara, and Andrew White. The group has a diverse research agenda but has particular strengths in lean manufacturing, machine learning & AI, supply chain, retail, major programmes, practices and institutions. The group also works closely with other areas within the School, for instance Finance, Strategy, and International Business.

    The School welcomes applications from established and early career who are committed to a programme of intellectually rigorous and relevant research that leads to high quality publications. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the School's world-renowned MSc Programme in Major Programme Management, as well as other graduate and executive programmes (in particular the MBA and Executive MBA).

    Applicants must hold a doctorate in management studies, operations management, major programme management, engineering, sociology, psychology, computer science, or a closely related discipline. Commensurate with career stage, candidates must also demonstrate a track record, or pipeline, of high-quality publications and competitively award research grants that demonstrate potential to impact business and management practice. The successful applicant must demonstrate commitment to teaching and ability to enthuse, educate and inspire high-achieving graduate students from all backgrounds and to help them reach their full potential. They must also demonstrate ability and willingness to work effectively as part of a team and to contribute fully to the work of the School. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary for undertaking teaching and the pastoral care of students and demonstrate ability and willingness to undertake a range of administrative duties within the School.
