The 84th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM 2024)
9-13 August 2024 | Chicago, IL, USA is about three months away. The Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) division has been working on creating an exciting, informative, and intellectually stimulating program. This year we plan to organize a factory tour in which we will visit a 22,000-square-foot research factory set up by MxD (an organization that quips U.S. manufacturers with the digital manufacturing tools and expertise). This research factory is used to test and demonstrate new technology; train the workforce on these new systems and tools; and demonstrate the need for cybersecurity in manufacturing. There is no additional cost for this factory tour; however, pre-registration is required. Since the organization has a limit in terms of how many people can be accommodated at a time, this tour will be limited to the first 50 people who will registered. This factory tour will be planned if there are at least 20 registered participants.
Session day: Tuesday (13th August)
Session timing: 16:00 – 17:30
Location: 1415 N Cherry Ave, Chicago, IL 60642 (about 3 miles from the conference hotel). Registered members will be responsible for their own transportation from the conference site to the factory location.
