    Description

    This non-tenure track (NTT) assistant professor of practice position will reside within the Department of Supply Chain Management, and the selected faculty member will have responsibility for teaching in both the online Master of Science in Supply Chain Management (MS-SCM) program and in the UTK undergraduate supply chain programs. 

    The non-tenured faculty member will report to the Department Head of Supply Chain Management and will work very closely with the Executive Director of the UT Global Supply Chain Institute and other tenured and non-tenured supply chain management faculty in order to collaboratively achieve our department's instructional goals.

    The faculty member will teach course materials intended for multiple different constituent audiences, including Executive, Non-Degree, and/or traditional undergraduate or graduate degree students as determined by needs. The NTT assistant professor of practice will also be expected to engage, inform, motivate and build connections with students and external university partners; and have an ability to work in a team-based, client-centered, and fast-paced setting. 

     The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Supply Chain Management or related discipline, and has at least two years of professional experience working in the commercial Supply Chain Management and/or Business Analytics industry. The candidate will also need to have at least three years of teaching experience and the ability to relate real-world experience in academic settings is preferred.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications for this position require the following:

    • PhD in supply chain or related business field
    • Two years (minimum) commercial supply chain or business analytics experience
    • Minimum 3 years teaching experience
