Research and teaching endeavors in operations and supply chain management (OSCM) have long considered various innovation related issues ranging from process innovation, product innovation, and supply chain innovation. Emerging technologies are transforming business models, and it can be argued that innovation in operations and supply chain management is at the forefront of this transformation. During the 2024 Academy of Management Annual Meeting, the OSCM division has planned a plenary session in which leading professional(s) at the forefront of innovation in the manufacturing and service sectors will be sharing their insights on the future of process/product/operations/supply chain innovation. Each speaker will make a short presentation on their innovation-focused endeavors, which will then be followed by a panel discussion on various pertinent issues.
