    Dear OSCM Division Members,

I am looking forward to seeing you at the virtual conference in just two weeks! We have lots of great sessions on the schedule for you, so please do take some time to check everything out. Some highlights to get your planning started (all times noted in ET):

    • OSCM Division Plenary, Sunday, August 1st from 1:00 – 2:30pm. Aravind Chandrasekaran is hosting this exciting session that follows the overall conference theme: Bringing the Manager Back Into Management Research. He and three of his industry partners will share their experiences working on projects together – how the projects came about, what commitments were required on both ends of the partnership, and how all parties benefitted from the research in the end. There will be an opportunity for audience members to ask questions in the last part of the session. Everyone come and learn about industry-academic partnerships!
    • Meet the Journal Editors, Monday, August 2nd from 9:00 – 10:30am. Typically a Monday morning breakfast session, this year we will host a bring-your-own breakfast/lunch/dinner/midnight snack to this panel discussion. Editors from IJOPM, JBL, JOM, JPSM, and JSCM will be ready to answer your questions.
    • OSCM Division Business Meeting, Sunday, August 1st, 11:00am – 12:30pm. Come learn about all the new and interesting things going on in the division these days, including welcoming our incoming 2022 PDW Chair, Veronica Villena.
    • Best paper award sessions: Best Student Paper (Friday, July 30th from 12:30 – 2:00pm), ISM Best Paper (Monday, August 2nd from 12:00 – 1:30pm), Chan Hahn Best Paper (Tuesday, August 3rd from 8:00 – 9:30am).

In addition, there are several professional development workshops, social events, journal-hosted sessions, and many terrific paper sessions for you to keep busy with! Finally, please be sure to check out the resources available from the AOM Program Office to make sure that you are optimizing your time at the conference (2021.aom.org, Help & Support menu item).

    Best,

    Stephanie Eckerd

    2021 Program Chair
