"We have a great opportunity for a Research Fellow (Post-Doc) to play a pivotal role in the delivery of a H2020 project on the "Data-based analysis for SAFETY and security protection FOR detection, prevention, mitigation and response in trans-modal metro and RAILway networkS (SAFETY4RAILS)". The focus of the research fellow will be on development of asset management plans based on System Dynamics (SD) simulations, and they will work with three railway operators and cities for demonstration and validation of the model.
This exciting position will be based at our campus in
Barcelona, and therefore, will require the candidate to have the necessary work permits in Spain. This is a two-year position with the start date in October 2020. Further descriptions of the positional can be found in the attached document, but the key information are as follows:
• Research experience (industry and/ or academic) in Engineering Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (experience to develop SD simulation models is highly recommended)
• Based in Barcelona, Spain
• High level proficiency in English and some ability in Spanish (beneficial)
• 2 year fixed-term contract role starting October 2020
• Gross Salary (44,000 Euros per annum plus super)
