    Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to our PDW (17358) titled: "Africa in Global Value Chains; The Diffusion of Sustainability Strategies". Our workshop lays the groundwork for scholars in raising awareness and research on this topic. It is also meant to bring in multidisciplinary communities that have not traditionally worked together to address this important topic.  After some quick keynotes from African and Sustainability Scholars we will discuss a series of questions based on the three major following themes.

    1) African companies' response to Multinational Firm sustainability requirements

    2) African companies' interpretation of Multinational buyer firm sustainability requirements

    3) Sustainability developments in Brazil, China, and India – What's in it for Africa?

Insights and research questions along with calls for papers for a follow-up special issue and/or edited book will be an outcome of this workshop.

The PDW will be held on Friday Aug. 9 from 4-5:30 PM at the Westin Copley Place Boston in the Adams/Parliament room. No registration required.

We hope you will be able to join us in this important PDW.

On behalf of the organizers: David Zoogah, Sherwat Ibrahim, Joerg Hofstetter, Joseph Sarkis, Ralph Hamann, and John Luiz.
